Adopting a New Business Mindset
At Tribe Global, we’re always proud to celebrate the ways our members learn, grow, and strengthen their business practices. One recent example is Comma’s participation in “Adapting a New Business Mindset Every Day” — a workshop delivered by The Great Pitch Company to help agencies refine their approach to business development.
The Challenge
Comma wanted to develop a clearer, more strategic process for identifying and approaching new prospects — one that would empower team members across departments to contribute to new business efforts with confidence and purpose.
The Workshop
To support this goal, Marcus Brown at The Great Pitch Company guided the Comma team through a practical, hands-on program that emphasized relationship-based business development and thoughtful preparation.
The workshop was delivered over three sessions, with a follow-up assignment, and involved participants from various departments across Comma.
- Session 1 introduced the overall approach to new business and outlined how Comma could handle prospects more effectively in the future.
- Session 2 focused on refining the agency’s existing list of prospects and identifying those that best aligned with Comma’s strategic goals.
- Session 3 introduced the Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM) framework — a practical tool for defining direction and intent before reaching out to potential clients. Participants also explored outreach techniques that prioritize understanding and connection over generic email contact.
- Session 4 gave participants the chance to apply the OGSM model in real-world scenarios and share their experiences with the group.
The program helped Comma move away from reactive prospecting toward a more deliberate, research-driven process — one where every interaction with a prospect begins with insight, preparation, and clear objectives.
The Outcome
By the end of the workshop, Comma had established a refined approach for engaging both new and existing clients. The Great Pitch Company’s training helped the team align on shared goals and provided practical tools to sustain a proactive new business mindset across the agency.
